Keyboards: | Specialist keyboard and keypad layout - designed to meet ergonomic demands of critical computer and control applications can prove extremely difficult and complex. Customising a standard 'off-the-shelf' keyboard into a customer specific configuration can add significantly to overall system cost, particularly in aggressive and hygiene critical environments. CKS – the leading UK manufacturer of HMI products – complements its modular rugged keyboards and keypads with extensive use of CAD to develop cost effective custom products. Because all CKS sealed keyboards are designed around a common 2mm thick matrix - produced to any size and key-switch layout – customisation is simplified and start-up costs controlled by the extensive use of existing components. Also, keyboard layout is not restricted by the number of keys required or by the customer's front face configuration. Working from the basic matrix, CKS allow customers to rapidly and economically design their own sealed keyboards and keypads by offering the choice of which keys to retain and which to disregard. Custom keyboards and keypads can be designed to be sealed to IP65, incorporate Trackerballs and be resistant to alcohols, dilute acids and alkalis, esters, hydrocarbons and keytones. |
Trackerballs: | The CKS P1 and P2 Series are sealed Trackerballs with quadrature or full Protocol interface. Designed and manufactured to give total reliability, they can be customised to fulfil all industrial and commercial applications especially in harsh and hazardous environments. With a choice of cased, uncased or bezel mount they can fit seamlessly into new or existing systems or used as standalone interfaces with or without added keys as desired. They can be integrated into standard or customised sealed keyboards and rugged Industrial PCs with the option of different size and coloured balls including stainless steel. Sealing to IP65 (NEMA 4) is available. |
